Claude Grunitzky


Togolese-born Claude Grunitzky is a leader in the global media and publishing industries. A journalist, editor and entrepreneur,
He is the former editor-in-chief of the quarterly fashion and music publication, TRACE.
He is also the co-founder of Trace TV, the world’s first international urban music outlet. He now runs TRUE, a trans-cultural consulting firm that organizes international cultural events around the globe. 


Grand-nephew of former Togolese president Nicolas Grunitzky, Claude grew up in Lome, Togo, France and Washington, D.C., where his father was the country’s ambassador. 

After graduating college in Paris, he moved to London where his journalism career began. Then, in 1995, when he was 24, he launched the successful global cutting-edge publication, TRUE magazine, which was later renamed Trace. In 1998, he moved to New York and to run the magazine and has since then founded TRUE Agency, a specialized advertising agency based in Los Angeles and Nashville. 

The TRACE brand can be found globally across several front-facing television, radio, mobile, event and interactive platforms.
